Toluca Commuter Rail, Mexico

The Mexico City-Toluca Commuter Rail is a 36-mile long rail line connecting the area of Toluca with Mexico City, providing services to more than 300,000 passengers a day.

SENER is the lead designer of the line for all phases from conception to construction overseeing:

  • Civil works

  • Structures

  • Systems (track, catenaries, traction substations, and train systems)

  • Workshops and depot facilities

  • Specifications and features of the rolling stock

SENER is also overseeing the construction phase as project manager.
