Le Réseau Express Metropolitan (REM) in Montréal is a light rail that will cross the Grande Région de Montréal. The rail runs 47.6 miles, has four sections, 26 stations, two maintenance centers and train parking. Twelve of the stations will have a bus terminal and vehicle parking component to increase mobility. The REM is the largest collective transport project in Québec in the last 50 years.
SENER was awarded the contract for the services of Independent Checking Engineer (ICE) services and the authorized technical approval body (OCTA) services including confirmation of the compliance of the design and construction to international and local regulation, the verification of the design process and the production of certificates and conformity reports.
